Mixed Media Artist.
Welcome to my website.
What is art? Is it something that you can feel, see, taste? A painting , a poem, a piece of writing, a moulded piece of clay, a carved piece of wood?
During my life i have created art with lots of different tools. My first taste of post school art was when i bought a parchment craft set from my local craft shop. It was so therapeutic sitting
for hours drawing the white lines with pen and ink then embossing them and turning the designs into cards.Next i turned my hand to glass painting. I bought loads of old glass bottles and
transformed them with a myriad of bright colours.
When i moved 300 miles to Cornwall i rediscovered my childhood love of painting. First watercolours, then acrylics then finally i discovered my passion for oils. I loved their rich creamy
consistency and spent many a happy hour creating dozens of what to me were masterpieces. Then I turned to digital painting. The freedom you get in Photoshop lets you create absolutely
anything! I have always been particularly drawn to fantasy images and most of my work contains some element of the mystical.
I am now trying my hand at painting with words. Writing is always something i have wanted to do and indeed at school i was rather good at it, but it got put on the back burner whilst i got
married and raised a family.
Now i am going to give it another go……………………. who knows where it will lead. Follow me on this journey where I nurture my muse and express myself through art.

More about me!
I thought I should write down a bit more about me and my life. So here goes...!
My name is Janine. I am a self taught digital artist. I live in a lovely village in the far west of Cornwall, England called St Just. I have lived here for over ten years now
and I cant imagine ever living anywhere else. It is my spiritual home and I can think of no better way to live out my days than wondering the moors, fields, cliffs and beaches around my
home.
I was born in Walsall in the west midlands in 1970. On leaving school i worked as a cashier for the Halifax Building Society. I got married in 1992 and left work to have my son, Kyle.
My daughter, Freya was born in 1996 We moved to Cornwall in 1998.
Not long after we moved to Cornwall i discovered my passion for digital photography. Coupled with my love for Photoshop i spend my days designing, photographing and manipulting
images.
I love dogs. At present I have one dog called Bramble. She is a Border Terrier cross. I love her to bits and refer to her as my hairy baby! I also have a black mongrel
called Dante. She is very intelligent and is my protector!

Musings of Me!
Welcome to the musings of me. I hope you will excuse my random witterings.
I am sitting at home, just me and my dog, looking out at the beautiful blue sky and wondering if i can be bothered to go for a nice long walk. Its so easy to sit here infront of my computer, mindlessly.
I sit here surrounded by boxes. I was supposed to have moved house two weeks ago but it has been delayed by up to a month. I cant find anything, everything i look for is packed away and most annoyingly i cant get at my paints. Whats the point of being an artist without any paints.
